The August 2009 Daring Bakers' challenge was hosted by Angela of A Spoonful
of Sugar and Lorraine of Not Quite Nigella. They chose the spectacular Dobos
Torte based on a recipe from Rick Rodgers' cookbook Kaffeehaus: Exquisite
Desserts from the Classic Caffés of Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.
5 layer sponge
Frosting: Coffee Buttercream
Made: Yesterday morning. A rush job I'm not so proud of as you can see with the coarse texture.

This is beautiful, what a great result.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I haven't stopped by here in awhile. You've posted some yummy looking pics!! I'm going to have to try those scones. I've never made a scone. They're just not my favorite, but I think making them myself might make a difference.
