I've missed baking along with all the TWDers!! Even though I don't like allspice, I just couldn't skip out on another week so taking inspiration from the coffee break muffins on the previous page, I replaced allspice with 2 tbsps of instant coffee.
I thought that instant coffee would just dissolve as long as there was liquid. Well, that certainly wasn't the case so I was left with specks of coffee. Always dissolve instant coffee with hot water or at least not cold milk!
I wasn't crazy about these (probably my fault for the coffee sub). The crunchy topping was definitely the highlight.. then again when isn't it? Thanks to Kayte of Grandma's Kitchen Table for choosing this recipe!
